Two Men Charged Over Dagenham Murder of John Avers

Brothers Held Over Fatal Attack

Detectives have charged Bobby Ternent, 31, and Gary Ternent, 58, both from Movers Lane, Barking, with the murder of 47-year-old John Avers in Dagenham. The pair are set to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court this morning.

Tragic Scene in Whalebone Lane

Officers and paramedics rushed to a car park on Whalebone Lane South just before midnight on Sunday, 13 September, after reports of a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian. John was found with serious injuries and sadly died at the scene.

Investigation Continues After Two Women Released

Two women arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have since been released under investigation. Meanwhile, a post-mortem confirmed John died from multiple injuries.
