Shocking Assault Outside Co-Op in Chandler’s Ford
A 33-year-old man from Chandler’s Ford was attacked outside the Co-Operative store on Falkland Court at around 4.10pm yesterday (27 June).
The victim was followed into the shop by a 25-year-old man from Southampton before being assaulted. Thankfully, the injuries were minor.
Police Nab Suspect After Two Attacks in One Day
Officers quickly tracked down and arrested the Southampton man on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
While handling the case, another victim came forward claiming the same suspect had assaulted him earlier that day at an address on Devon Close.
This led to a second arrest for the same charge. The suspect remains in custody as inquiries continue.
