Rochester Rape Probe: Cops Hunt CCTV and Dash Cam Footage
Detectives are on the hunt for CCTV and dash cam footage after a woman in her 20s was raped in Rochester’s The Vines between 2.30am and 4am on Sunday, 24 November 2019. The victim was walking through the park with a man when the horrific attack reportedly took place.
Police Urge Locals to Check Cameras
Officers have recovered some footage but need more. They’re specifically appealing for CCTV and doorbell camera clips from private homes and businesses in The Vines, St Margaret’s Street, Troy Town, and Delce areas during the early hours of that Sunday.
Drivers passing through the area are also asked to check dash cams for any relevant recordings between 2.30am and 4am.

Suspect Arrested and Bailed
A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape on the day of the incident. He has since been released on bail and is due back at the police station on 16 December.
