Woman in Her 30s Stabbed to Death in Brutal Daylight Attack in South London
A woman in her 30s was fatally stabbed in broad daylight in South London today, sparking a major police response and road closures.
Harrowing Scene on Stockwell Park Walk
Just after 4pm on Monday, May 1, officers raced to Stockwell Park Walk in Brixton following reports of a stabbing. They found the victim with a deep wound to her neck and pronounced her dead at the scene.
London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance arrived quickly, with a helicopter landing nearby in Slade Gardens. Paramedics battled to save her, but it was too late.
Crime Scene Sealed Off Amid Urgent Investigation
A grim video of the aftermath, showing the pedestrianised area between SW9 Community Housing and The Junction SW9, circulated briefly on social media before being removed. Police have since cordoned off the area with crime scene tape and erected a blue tent.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “An urgent investigation has been launched following the death of a woman in Lambeth. Officers were called to a stabbing at Stockwell Park Walk at around 4.04pm on Monday.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses
The victim’s family has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers. Several roads remain closed while detectives comb the scene for clues.
