Speedy Sting: Thieves Nabbed After Raiding Kent Co-op

Quick Response Snags Shoplifters

Kent Police were called out at 10.43pm on Thursday, June 9, 2022, after the Co-op on Sheppey Way reported stolen goods. Items taken included meat, alcohol, and washing detergent.

The Swale Local Policing Team acted fast. Within nine minutes, they found three suspects and recovered over £100 worth of stolen items.

Alfie Lee Faces Multiple Charges

Alfie Lee, 23, from Sittingbourne’s Harkness Court, was charged with shoplifting and possession of a class B drug. He’s also slapped with two more shoplifting charges from May 28 and June 8.

Lee is due in maidstone/" title="Maidstone" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Maidstone Magistrates Court on June 28, 2022.

Two Others Released

The other two people detained were let go but remain under investigation.
