Predator Jailed for Sex Attack on Drunk Woman in Gloucester

A 26-year-old thug has been locked up for two years after sexually assaulting a vulnerable woman as she stumbled home alone in Gloucester. Abdulla Ali struck just before midnight on July 28, taking advantage of the woman’s unsteady state.

CCTV Shows Chilling Moment Attack Unfolded

Disturbing CCTV footage captured Ali approaching the woman and leading her off the street. She collapsed out of sight as he crouched over her. After briefly leaving the scene, Ali returned to drag her away once more.

Shocking Court Details Reveal Abuse

Prosecutor Simon Burns said Ali “took advantage of a particularly vulnerable female,” ejaculating on her trousers and groping her private parts—admissions Ali made in a pre-sentence report.

The victim woke up at home the next morning with no memory of the horror. She bravely reported the assault days later and visited a Sexual Assault Referral Centre immediately.

DNA Evidence Nails the Pervert

Forensic experts matched semen stains on the victim’s clothes to Ali’s DNA. Despite denying the attack, claiming he “involuntarily ejaculated” and that he was trying to help, the evidence told a brutal truth.

Originally charged with attempted rape, Ali eventually pleaded guilty to sexual assault on October 8. He admitted leading the victim away against her will and masturbating over her.

Justice Hits Hard at Gloucester Crown Court

Gloucestershire Police’s Rape and Serious Sexual Offences team pieced together the case using CCTV and forensic evidence, building an airtight prosecution.

On December 11, Abdulla Ali was sentenced at Gloucester Crown Court, sending a powerful warning to predators who target the vulnerable. Justice has been served.
