Paedophile Hunter Strikes Again in Portsmouth Retail Park

A paedophile hunter has pulled off a second dramatic sting this week just yards from Portsmouth Football Club. The vigilante, who runs Not Of Normal Criminal Element (NONCE), posed online as an underage girl to snare predator Keith Goldswain.

Trap Set at Portsmouth Retail Park

Goldswain chatted to the fake teen and agreed to meet her at the retail park, expecting to pick up a 14-year-old girl for sex. But when he arrived, the tables quickly turned. In footage captured on camera, Goldswain initially claimed he thought it was an ex-girlfriend playing a prank.

He went on to reveal he has a four-year-old daughter and insisted he was there to say the whole thing was wrong. However, his excuses didn’t wash. During the six-minute video, he admitted wrongdoing but justified why he showed up after previously sending explicit images to the underage persona.

Escape Attempt Foiled

The sting ended with a tense moment as Goldswain tried to make a run for it, claiming he needed to make a phone call and attempting to drive off. Luckily, his car keys had been confiscated upon arrival, preventing his escape.

It’s unclear whether police arrested him on the spot. Earlier this year, a 30-year-old man from the same area was arrested outside Asda in Fratton on similar suspicions but has since been bailed until July 11 following questioning by Hampshire Police.

Police Warn Against Vigilante Actions

Hampshire Police have issued a stark warning against vigilante stings, reminding the public such actions can break the law and divert police resources from proper child sex abuse investigations.

“People think by posting the stuff I do, it causes a mischief for trials,” the vigilante behind NONCE responded on social media. “I don’t care much for convictions, a conviction is just a little brucey! Public exposure is far more a sentence than 12 months and all traces removed from the net.”

As this latest sting grips Portsmouth, many question how effective public exposure is against the risk of undermining official investigations.
