Serious Pedestrian Injury in Kirkham Crash – Police Hunt Witnesses
Police are on the lookout for witnesses after a serious collision in Kirkham left a young man fighting for his life.
Man in 20s Hit by Car on Busy Blackpool Road
At around 9 a.m. this Wednesday (July 27), a Citroen DS3 struck a pedestrian on Blackpool Road. The victim, a man in his twenties from Blackpool, was rushed to hospital with a serious head injury and remains in a critical condition.
The driver, a woman in her 30s, escaped unharmed.
Police Appeal for Eyewitnesses and Footage
Sgt Michael Higginson from Lancashire Police’s TacOps team said:
“This collision happened on a main road at a busy time of day. We believe there will be people who saw what happened or who captured the incident on camera.”
He added, “We are working hard to piece together what happened and would like to hear from anyone with information. In the meantime, we send our best wishes to the man in the hospital and wish him a speedy recovery.”
