Pedestrian Killed in Horror Crash with Road Cleaning Lorry in North London
Tragedy Strikes on Pemberton and Wightman Roads
Emergency services were scrambled to the junction of Pemberton Road and Wightman Road, N4, at 11:12 a.m. on Monday, May 30, after a pedestrian was struck by a road cleaning lorry.
Paramedics’ Efforts Fail to Save Victim
Despite the rapid response from officers, London’s Air Ambulance, and the London Ambulance Service (LAS), the man was sadly pronounced dead on the scene.
Driver Cooperating as Police Probe Deepens
The lorry driver stopped immediately and is cooperating fully with police inquiries. Meanwhile, detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) have launched a full investigation into the tragic incident.
Witnesses Urgently Needed
Specialist officers have informed the victim’s family and are providing support. They are now calling on the public for any witnesses or anyone with CCTV footage to come forward.
