Armed Men Attempt Car Abduction in Arnold

Police swooped after reports of three men trying to force a man into a car in Brookfield Gardens, Arnold, just after 10.20am on Thursday, 30 March 2023.

Weapons Seized at the Scene

Officers searching the vehicle found a baseball bat and a police-style baton. A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in public.

Investigation Underway – Police Hunt Other Suspects

Inspector Simon Spooner of Nottinghamshire Police said: “Preventing and reducing the harm caused by dangerous weapons is a priority for the force. We will always deal robustly with anyone suspected of this kind of criminality.”

“We are working hard to trace the other individuals involved and urge anyone who saw what happened or has info to come forward.”
