Man Charged with Murder in Walton-on-Thames Attack
A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a shocking murder in Walton-on-Thames.
Shaan Mir Faces Murder and Attempted Murder Charges
Shaan Mir, from Arlington Lodge in Weybridge, was charged after his arrest on Thursday, 22 April. He is set to appear at Guildford Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
Victims Included Local Man Known as Tik
Matthew Tester, 49, known locally as Tik, tragically died at the scene on Church Road. Officers were called following reports of a violent incident on 22 April.
A second man, also in his 40s, was seriously injured and is currently recovering in hospital.
Investigation Ongoing, Family Privacy Requested
Detective Chief Inspector David Springett said: “This is an extremely difficult time for Tik’s family and I would ask that their privacy is respected to allow them to grieve in peace.”
