Teen terrorises Southampton streets in spree of knife robberies
Police have charged a 17-year-old boy over a string of terrifying crimes in Southampton between 6pm and 7pm on August 27. The teen faces multiple charges including three robberies, three attempted robberies, assault with intent to rob, and assault on an emergency worker.
Knife-wielding teen targets victims across the city
- 6.30pm: Assault with intent to rob at Subway on High Road.
- 6.35pm: A 30-year-old man at 1 Train Station robbed of his watch.
- 6.40pm: A 29-year-old man on Brookside Way had his phone stolen after being threatened with a knife.
- 6.45pm: Attempted robbery on Monks Way: a 57-year-old woman was approached by a boy with a knife demanding her phone.
- 6.50pm: Attempted robbery on Octavia Road where a 26-year-old man was threatened.
- 6.55pm: Robbery on Mansbridge Road where a person was targeted and robbed.
- 7.00pm: Attempted robbery at Riverside Park, when a couple walking their dog were threatened with a knife and demanded money.
