Teen Stabbed to Death in North London
A 15-year-old boy, believed to be Romario Opia, has been fatally stabbed in Holloway, N19. The horrific attack happened on Monday, 25 January around 5:30pm on Holland Walk.
Suspect in Custody as Police Launch Murder Probe
Emergency services rushed to the scene but tragically could not save the boy. A 16-year-old was arrested the following evening, Tuesday 26 January, and remains in police custody. Another 16-year-old, arrested on suspicion of affray, has been released without charge.
Community Shocked as Police Hunt Killer
Chief Superintendent Raj Kohli said: “A young person’s life has been taken and our thoughts are with his family and friends who have lost someone very special to them.”
He added: “Our officers share your sadness, and we have a team dedicated to tracking down those who committed this.”
Detective Chief Inspector Neil John, leading the investigation, urged witnesses: “If you have mobile footage or any information, please come forward. Help us bring those responsible to justice.”

The investigation is ongoing as the Met’s Specialist Crime Command digs deeper into the tragic stabbing.
