Officers Targeted with Dangerous Rockets
Chaos erupted on Carlisle Terrace Saturday night when a group of around 10 males launched rockets at police officers who were talking to teens. The attack caused serious injuries, with both a police officer and a 14-year-old teen suffering burns on their arms and torsos. Both victims also face possible perforated eardrums from the blast.
Five Arrests Made Following Violent Assault
Police swiftly acted and arrested five suspects in connection with the attack. Four males aged between 14 and 19, along with a 34-year-old woman, are currently in custody as enquiries continue.
Police Appeal for Social Media Footage
Authorities are urgently asking the public to come forward with any footage of the incident circulating on social media. A police spokesperson said, “The public’s response so far has been incredible, and we know they’re just as appalled as we are by what’s happened.”
