Officers have set up a crime scene cordon on York Road in Battersea while paramedics battle to save a man’s life following a serious head injury.
Man Fell and Hit Head
Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service are treating the man, who reportedly fell and struck his head. Witnesses say he had been drinking prior to the incident.
No Stabbing, Despite Rumours
There were initial claims from bystanders that the man had been stabbed. Police have since confirmed these reports are false.

A Met Police spokesman said: “We are assisting the London Ambulance Service with a man who has fallen and sustained a head injury.
The Met Police and London Ambulance Service have been approached for further comment.
