Man Faces Court Over Teen Amber’s Death
A 43-year-old man is set to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 5 January 2022. The body of 16-year-old Amber was found near Cadzow Glen at around 10.10am on Sunday, 28 November 2021.
Amber’s Brother Charged with Murder and Sexual Assault
Amber’s 19-year-old brother, Connor Gibson, was arrested and charged in connection with her death. Last month, Gibson was hit with charges of murder and sexual assault under Section 2 of the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009.
Additional Charge: Attempting to Pervert Justice
He also faces a charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice. When appearing in court, Gibson made no plea.
He remains in custody as he awaits his next court date, which has yet to be set.
