Manhunt Intensifies for Terror Suspect Daniel Khalife
The desperate search for escaped terror suspect Daniel Khalife is ramping up. Police now suspect he had help from prison guards or inmates during his daring breakout, revealed Sir Mark Rowley, head of the Metropolitan Police.
Police Operation Expands Across UK
Rowley disclosed that fresh intel has spurred a dramatic escalation, widening the hunt beyond the original 150 counterterrorism officers involved. Forces nationwide are now on high alert, scouring for Khalife.
“We’ve got somebody charged with terrorist and Official Secrets Act offences. That is extremely concerning that he is now back on the loose, and we need to get hold of him as quickly as possible,” Sir Mark told LBC’s Nick Ferrari.
Questions Over Prison Security and Timely Alerts
One major shock is Khalife’s escape from a category B prison—not a high-security joint. While the exact location remains under wraps, authorities believe the breakout was carefully planned.
The timing of the alert sparked debate too. Police delayed the public warning, citing operational reasons amid the suspect’s known ties to southwest London. The area’s maze-like streets offer plenty of hiding spots, complicating the chase.
Head Start Gives Khalife Advantage
Khalife’s early lead between his escape from Wandsworth Prison and when officers searched the getaway vehicle has further hindered the hunt, police admit.
With every hour that passes, the pressure mounts to bring this dangerous fugitive back to justice.
