Teen thieves nabbed after £10k cosmetics heist at Boots
High street robbery caught on CCTV
On Sunday, June 12, three teens pulled off a cosmetic shoplifting spree at Boots on the High Street. At 2.33pm, police were called and quickly teamed up with town centre CCTV operators to hunt down the suspects.
Quick arrest in dramatic chase
By 3.10pm, officers had tracked down and arrested the trio, who had travelled all the way from Walthamstow. The gang included a 15-year-old boy, plus youths aged 14 and 17.
£10,260 worth of stolen goods recovered
Authorities seized a huge haul of suspected stolen cosmetics, with an estimated value topping £10,000. All three were charged with theft and bailed to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on July 18.
