Police are hunting a reckless driver after a frenzy of four hit-and-run crashes across Lincolnshire on the morning of Friday, September 26. The violent spree left one cyclist seriously injured and sent shockwaves through the quiet towns of Boston and Alford.

  • 6:44am: A cyclist was slammed off his bike on Priory Road, near Boston. The driver fled, leaving the victim badly hurt and rushed to hospital.
  • 8:20am: Another male cyclist was hit in Maltby Le Marsh, Alford. The culprit again disappeared without a trace.
  • 8:40am: An elderly man suffered minor injuries after being struck on West Street, Alford. The same vehicle narrowly missed a small child nearby.
  • 10:04am: Yet another cyclist was knocked off his bike on Bluestone Heath Road, Calceby, Alford. The driver vanished without offering help.

Police say a black Range Rover is the likely culprit behind all four hit-and-runs.

Teen Arrested in Shocking Hit-and-Run Spree

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested amid the crackdown. He faces charges including causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving under the influence of drugs, driving without a licence, no insurance, and aggravated vehicle taking. The youngster has been released on bail as investigations continue.

“We have a young man in custody who is helping us with our enquiries,” said Sgt Billy Spence. “We believe these incidents are linked, but we need the public’s help. If you have dashcam footage, CCTV, or witnessed anything, please come forward.”
