Drugs bust in Worksop: Man arrested after police raid

Operation Reacher hits Grove Court

Early on Friday morning, officers from the Bassetlaw Operation Reacher team stormed a property in Grove Court, Worksop. Acting on fresh intelligence, the police executed a warrant at around 6.20am, targeting suspected drug activity.

23-year-old nabbed with drugs and cash

A 23-year-old man found inside the home was swiftly arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A and Class B drugs with intent to supply. Police also seized a large stash of cannabis edibles, wads of cash, multiple mobile phones, and pricey clothing – all pointing to a lucrative illegal operation.

Police urge public to keep tipping off

“This was an intelligence-led warrant and wouldn’t have been possible without tips from the community. The supply of drugs devastates our neighbourhoods with violence, antisocial behaviour, and exploitation,” said Police Constable Andrew Sansom of Nottinghamshire Police. “We work hard to get drugs off the streets and bring offenders to justice. Drugs fuel other crimes like shop theft, which hit local businesses.

“If you suspect criminal activity in your area or see anything odd, please report it. Your information could be the key to cracking the case. We’re pleased to have removed drugs from circulation, recovered stolen goods, and taken a suspect off the streets. This investigation is ongoing.”
