Drug Dealer Bagged in Portsmouth: Two Years Inside
Steven Michael Larry Waters, 24, with no fixed address, has been locked up for two years at Portsmouth Crown Court. He was caught with Class A drugs – heroin and crack cocaine – and charged with possession and intent to supply.
Caught Red-Handed on Church Road
Waters was nabbed by the Fortress Drugs-Related Harm team after officers spotted him dealing crack cocaine to local users on Church Road on June 25. The police swiftly moved in to arrest him, cutting off his supply to the streets.
Police Send Warning to Drug Dealers
Chief Inspector Jim Pegler said: “Our Fortress Drugs-Related Harm team works hard to target those people who choose to deal drugs.”
“This sentence sends a clear message to dealers that drug dealing and related offences won’t be tolerated in Portsmouth. We hope this reassures the community that we’re cracking down hard.”
“Putting Waters behind bars will undoubtedly improve the quality of life for people in the local area.”
