Portsmouth Drug Gang Busted: Six Sentenced to Over 14 Years Behind Bars

Six drug dealers from a notorious Portsmouth family-run ring have been slammed with prison sentences totaling more than 14 years. The gang was caught supplying deadly Class A drugs – heroin and crack cocaine – during the police’s Operation Fortress crackdown between December 2014 and March 2015.

Heavy Sentences for Portsmouth Drug Dealers

  • Kaylon Wallace, 25, from Southend Lane, London, hit with 6 years and 2 months for conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
  • Hannah Knapp, 26, of Meadows Way, London, sentenced to 3 years for conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
  • Angel McKay, 17, from Beckenham, London, locked up for 2 years and 8 months for conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
  • Eduardo Rodrigues, 22, sentenced to 2 years and 8 months for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, plus a concurrent 6 months for possession.
  • Taisha Samuels, 19, no fixed address, handed a 2-year suspended sentence for conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
  • Annette Collins, 38, from Stubbington Avenue, Portsmouth, got a 12-month community order and drug rehab requirement for allowing premises to be used for drug offences plus possession of heroin and crack cocaine.

Eight Found Guilty, More Already Locked Up

In total, eight people were convicted in connection with this drug operation. Two other suspects were already serving time for drug offences linked to the same network.

Police Vow to Keep Portsmouth Drug-Free

Detective Constable Lamb said, “This is another example of police in Portsmouth taking down drug-dealing networks. The local community is already seeing the benefits of Operation Fortress, and we will continue to take a tough stance against drug criminals.”

Chief Inspector James Pegler added, “We will not tolerate drug dealing in Portsmouth. We’re working with partners to choke off supply and demand, making our city hostile territory for drug dealers. If anyone has info on drug activity, please contact us on 101 quoting Op Fortress.”
