Gosport Drug Dealer Caught with £40,000 of Heroin and Crack Cocaine
A 27-year-old Gosport man has been slammed behind bars for hoarding more than £40,000 worth of heroin and crack cocaine. Curtis Long was busted after a sharp-eyed PCSO spotted his black Audi A3 acting suspiciously on The Firs, Gosport.
Drug Haul Sparks Arrest
It all started just after 7:30pm on 4 January 2018, when a PCS officer saw Long reverse his car into another vehicle. After a quick chat, officers searched the car and found heaps of individually wrapped heroin and crack cocaine. The stash was valued at over £40,000.
Long Pleads Guilty and Gets Tough Sentence
Curtis Long, from Southway, Gosport, was charged with possession with intent to supply both Class A drugs. On 26 March, he pleaded guilty at Portsmouth Crown Court. Yesterday (25 April), Long was sentenced to 58 months inside.
Detective Constable Angela Smith said:
“This sentence recognises that we’ve taken a significant amount of dangerous drugs off our streets. It sends a clear warning to anyone involved in this kind of crime – we won’t tolerate it.”
She added, “This case shows how Gosport’s Neighbourhood Policing Team and the investigations unit work hand-in-hand to keep our communities safe.”
