Big Drug Bust: Nine Dealers Nabbed in Southampton Raid
Hampshire Constabulary cracked down hard on the drug trade this Tuesday morning, May 24. Nine suspected dealers were hauled in during a joint operation targeting drug crime across Southampton and London.
Operation Fortress Hits Nine Warrants
As part of Operation Fortress, police executed six warrants in Southampton and three in London, smashing criminal networks that plague local communities. The mission was backed by the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU), the National Crime Agency (NCA), and the Metropolitan Police Service.
The Arrests: Crack, Heroin, and Class A Suspects Taken Down
- 26-year-old London man charged with conspiracy to supply heroin and crack cocaine
- 20-year-old London man arrested on similar conspiracy charges
- 31-year-old Londoner also busted for conspiracy to supply heroin and crack cocaine
- 24-year-old from London caught for conspiracy to supply these drugs
- 30-year-old Southampton man arrested over conspiracy to supply heroin and crack cocaine
- 34-year-old Southampton suspect held for supplying Class A drugs
- 31, 42, and 55-year-olds from Southampton all arrested on suspicion of supplying Class A substances
Police Warn: Drugs Will Not Be Tolerated
“Drug-related activity will not be tolerated in Southampton,” says Southampton District Commander, Superintendent Alison Heydari. “We work closely with partners to make this city a hostile place for criminals.
