RAF Serviceman Arrested in Majorca Over Magaluf Rape Allegation
A 27-year-old RAF serviceman has been detained in Majorca, accused of raping a British holidaymaker at a four-star hotel in Magaluf. The suspect, reportedly in Majorca for a rugby tournament with friends, was arrested and taken to court in Palma.
Young Woman Reports Horror in Magaluf
The 21-year-old victim told police the assault happened around 5am on Monday on the hotel terrace. She said she had met the suspect at a bar earlier that evening and spent time with him on the beach before the attack.
“He forcefully engaged in sexual acts, tearing my dress before raping me,” the victim stated.
Suspect Caught Trying to Flee
Civil Guard officers identified the serviceman after the victim filed a formal complaint. He was intercepted at Palma Airport as he attempted to catch a flight back to the UK. The accused appeared in court handcuffed for a private hearing to decide custody status.
Investigation Ongoing, Victim Expected to Testify
Forensic tests have been conducted as part of the probe. Sources say the suspect is a UK-born, foreign-born member of the armed forces currently stationed in Britain. The victim’s whereabouts remain unclear but she is expected to appear in court to back her statement.
