Sick Online Blackmailer Faces Jail for Worldwide Child Abuse Campaign

A twisted online predator is set to spend years behind bars after tricking nearly 2,000 victims across the globe into horrific sexual abuse. The National Crime Agency (NCA) branded this case one of the sickest they’ve ever uncovered.

Global Victims Targeted in Twisted Scheme

  • Elahi, from Sparkhill, Birmingham, posed as rich men on sugar daddy sites to lure victims.
  • He blackmailed people into abusing themselves, siblings, and even children — some as young as eight months old.
  • Elahi sold vile footage as ‘box sets’ to other paedophiles and offered ‘master classes’ on Telegram to help offenders dodge police.
  • Victims included at least 196 UK residents, 1,367 women in the US, and others in 20 countries like Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.

Deceptive Tricks to Snare Vulnerable Victims

Elahi targeted people in debt or too young for the websites. He promised thousands for explicit images, faking bank screenshots to win trust.

He then moved his victims to WhatsApp chats, where he blackmailed them with threats to expose images unless they sent more.

His vile control forced victims into self-harm, child abuse, and sickening acts against siblings. Many complied out of terror.

Huge Haul of Abuse, Huge Profit for Paedophile

The predator systematically stored and sold abuse material via cloud services and Telegram, raking in over £25,000.

His vile crimes not only shattered victims but dragged their families into the nightmare, with repeat blackmail attempts from other offenders.

Justice Closing In

Elahi admitted an array of horrendous charges—from blackmail to possessing over 65,000 indecent images, including babies being raped—at Birmingham Crown Court.

The NCA arrested him in December 2018 after a tip-off about blackmailing a 15-year-old girl in the US. The investigation spanned multiple countries, thanks to international cooperation, including the FBI.

Elahi’s co-defendant Kirsty Nicholls also admitted sexual assaults and making indecent images. Both face sentencing in September.

“Elahi sought sexual gratification through power and control. He showed zero empathy, often pushing victims to the brink of suicide,” said Tony Cook, NCA Head of CSA Operations.

“These offences can happen to anyone. We urge parents to talk to their children about online dangers and victims to come forward.”

Sophie Mortimer from the Revenge Porn Helpline added, “The cruelty in this content is beyond extreme. It’s violent, degrading and life-changing for victims.”
