School Bus Overturns in Texas: 16 Kids Injured but No Fatalities

Swift Emergency Action Saves the Day
Emergency crews rushed to Nameless Road after reports of the overturned bus. Paramedics treated multiple children at the scene, with several taken to nearby hospitals. Thankfully, officials confirmed no fatalities or life-threatening injuries. The kids suffered from cuts, bruises, and suspected fractures.
Travis County Judge Andy Brown said on social media: “I’m aware of the Leander ISD school bus crash near Sandy Creek on Nameless Rd. Thankfully, no fatalities or life-threatening injuries reported among kids. TCSO, ATCEMS, ESD1 & StarFlight responded quickly & are on scene. Reunification center is at Round Mountain Baptist Church.”
Major Rescue Efforts and Reunification
The Travis County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO), Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS), Emergency Services District 1 (ESD1), and a StarFlight helicopter raced to the scene. Part of Nameless Road was shut down as crews freed trapped kids and secured the bus.
Parents were quickly informed, and safe students were taken to Round Mountain Baptist Church, which served as the reunification centre.
Crash Cause Under Investigation
Authorities are probing the crash’s cause. Early indications suggest the bus may have swerved to avoid an obstacle before overturning. Officials urge anyone with dashcam footage or who witnessed the crash to contact the Travis County Sheriff’s Office.
