Woman Busted for 114 Shoplifting Spree in Dartford

Roopmala Appavoo Faces Theft Charges

A 64-year-old woman from Greenhithe has been hit with a theft charge after allegedly stealing from a Dartford shop a whopping 114 times.

£1,024 Worth of Goods Stolen

Roopmala Appavoo, living on Louvain Road, is accused of making off with £1,024 in goods during separate incidents at a store on Darenth Wood Road. The thefts took place between 2 March and 21 June 2020.

Arrest and Court Date Set

kent-police/" title="Kent Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Kent Police arrested Appavoo on 30 July. She now faces one theft charge that covers all incidents. She was released on bail and is due in Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 25 August.
