Six Arrested After Horrific Worthing Stabbing
Six suspects have been nabbed after a brutal stabbing in Worthing shocked the town. Emergency crews rushed to Wallace Avenue at 9.20pm on Monday, March 27, to find a man lying in the street with serious stab wounds. He remains in hospital fighting for his life.
Suspects Held and Charged
- Four men, one woman, and a teenage boy arrested following police enquiries.
- A 21-year-old Worthing man charged with involvement in Class A drug supply and granted bail under strict attempted murder conditions.
- A 44-year-old man and 18-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and drug offences; both bailed pending further inquiries.
- The 14-year-old boy was also released on bail.
- On Saturday, a 49-year-old man from Worthing was detained for attempted murder and remains in custody.
- Sunday saw a 57-year-old Worthing man arrested for assisting an offender; he too remains locked up.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Kimball Edey from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team said: “Our investigation has made significant progress. We thank the community for their support and urge anyone with information to come forward.”
Police want witnesses who saw suspicious activity near Mill Road, Victoria Park, and Lansdowne Road between 9pm and 9.45pm on March 27 to get in touch.
