Seven Guardsmen Nabbed in Major Drug and Money Laundering Sting

Seven soldiers, including six from the Irish Guards and one Coldstream Guardsman veteran, were arrested in a nationwide crackdown on Wednesday. Raids hit Hampshire, Berkshire, North Wales, and Northern Ireland as part of a Royal Military Police operation targeting drug supply and money laundering.

MoD Issues Strong Warning

“The Army does not tolerate any type of illegal or fraudulent behaviour,” said the Ministry of Defence. “None of the soldiers under investigation will participate in planned Queen’s Platinum Jubilee parades.”

With an independent investigation underway, the MoD refused to comment further.
