Government Warns Employers: Follow the Rules or Face the Consequences

The Home Office made it clear: employers found guilty of hiring people without the right to work in the UK could face prison sentences of up to five years and unlimited fines. This applies where employers knew or had reasonable cause to suspect workers lacked valid visas or proper documentation.

“Employers ignoring immigration laws and exploiting vulnerable workers will face severe punishment,” warns the Home Office.

These penalties are a stark warning to all businesses—cutting corners on immigration rules will cost you dearly.
