Man charged over brutal pub attack in Tonbridge

Detectives have charged a man over a savage assault that left a victim with serious head injuries in Tonbridge.

Pub brawl turns vicious

The attack happened inside the Station House pub on Barden Road shortly after 9.40pm on 3 December 2022. The victim was repeatedly smashed with two pint glasses during the violent incident.

Victim left unconscious with grave injuries

The suspect knocked the man to the floor before continuing the assault while he lay unconscious. Emergency crews rushed the victim to hospital, where he was treated for a bleed on the brain, broken teeth, and fractured ribs.

Suspect charged with grievous bodily harm

Sonny Coster, 21, from Scott Road, Tonbridge, was arrested on 28 February 2023. He has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Coster appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 1 March and has been remanded in custody ahead of his next hearing.
