Drug Dealers Nabbed in Major Wiltshire Bust

Two drug couriers have been slammed with hefty prison sentences after being caught with thousands of Class A and B drugs by the Fortitude Team in Wiltshire.

10 Years for Ecstasy Kingpin Risby

Macauley Risby, 22, from Amesbury, was found with an enormous stash: over 9,000 ecstasy tablets, 1,900 2C-B tablets, 2kg of MDMA, nearly 2kg of ketamine, and stacks of cash. Police raided his Salisbury home on December 17, 2020, and seized the haul during a bedroom search.

Risby admitted being part of a UK-wide supply network at Winchester Crown Court on January 5. He was handed a hefty 10-year jail term for possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs and possession of criminal property.

Over Six Years for Hertfordshire’s Cen Trota

Cen Trota, 29, from Watford, picked up a six years and nine months sentence after cops caught him in Salisbury on September 1, 2022, following a suspected drug deal on Cherry Orchard Lane.

Trota was arrested after officers nabbed 17 wraps of white powder in his car. Later, a raid on a Wilton address connected to him uncovered more than 2kg of cocaine and £4,000 in cash. Another vehicle linked to Trota yielded an additional £23,000.

The total street value of drugs seized from Trota was between £155,000 and £235,000. He pleaded guilty to money laundering and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs at Salisbury Crown Court on January 27.

Police Praise Public Help in Cracking Down on Crime

DC Mark Welch of the Fortitude Team said: “These are two excellent sentences and I’m pleased that Risby and Trota will be off the streets for years to come.

“The Fortitude Team work non-stop to tackle offenders causing the most harm and misery to communities across Wiltshire, but we wouldn’t be able to do it without the public’s help in reporting their concerns to us.

“Any piece of intelligence makes a difference and enables us to build a picture of those harming our communities and lets us target the right people.”
