Massive Crackdown Nets 95 Arrests in National County Lines Blitz
A major nationwide police swoop targeting County Lines gangs, violent criminals, and drug traffickers has smashed through the underworld with 95 arrests. The three-day operation in April 2025 saw multiple forces, including Sussex Police, join forces to hit the criminals hard.
Operation ‘Seized’: Arrests, Weapons, Cash and Cars Confiscated
Running from April 23 to 25, the Specialist Enforcement Unit (SEU) teamed up with Thames Valley Police, the Metropolitan Police, Surrey, Essex, Bedfordshire, and British Transport Police.
- 95 arrests made
- 15 weapons seized
- 38 drug busts
- 65 vehicles impounded
- £69,000 cash recovered
Sussex Police Take Down Local Offenders
Sussex cops were busy too, making 15 arrests and carrying out 15 vehicle stops. Highlights include:
- A 31-year-old man in West Sussex arrested on suspicion of rape
- A 29-year-old nabbed in Horley for breaching a court order
- Two suspects held for immigration offences
- A Crawley man, 31, arrested for dangerous driving and drugs
- A 45-year-old Worthing man caught with suspected cocaine and large amounts of cash, charged with Class A drug distribution
Top Cop Hails Power of Teamwork in Fight Against Crime
The SEU continues patrolling Sussex roads, targeting key offenders involved in sexual crimes, robbery, and drug dealing.
“This operation shows the strength of our intelligence-sharing and joint police action,” said Inspector Ollie Pullen, who led the Sussex team. “Keeping the public safe is our top priority.”
