Police nab man after violent assault near Milton Road at night.
Man Caught on Milton Road Chasing and Attacking Woman
At around 8:50pm on Monday, 28 February 2022, officers patrolling Milton Road spotted a man reportedly chasing a woman near Berkley Road.
Violent Attack Shocked Locals
The suspect is alleged to have pushed the woman from behind, causing her to fall, then punched her several times in the head. Remarkably, the victim did not require hospital treatment.
Quick Police Action Leads to Arrest
The officers swiftly got out of their vehicle and intervened. The man, in his 40s from gravesend/" title="Gravesend" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Gravesend, was arrested on suspicion of assault on the spot.
Suspect Released on Bail
He has since been released on bail until 22 March while police carry out further enquiries.
