Man Assaulted in Broadstairs Beach Brawl – Police Hunt Witnesses
Detectives are on the case after a man was attacked at Viking Bay beach in Broadstairs, around 5pm on Thursday 3 June 2021.
Head Injury in Disturbance
The victim suffered a head injury during a scuffle involving a group of people. Emergency crews from South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Coastguard treated him at the scene before rushing him to a local hospital for further care.
Teen Arrested Over Assault
A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of assault and is now in police custody as the investigation unfolds.
Police Plea for Witnesses and Footage
Detective Sergeant Claire Munday of Margate CID said: “There was a large number of people on the beach at the time of this incident and we are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to call the appeal line. We would also urge anybody who has footage of the disturbance to contact us as it may assist our investigation.”
