A teenage boy already locked up for life over the murders of two schoolboys has now been hit with an extra four years for a stabbing hours before the fatal attack.
Teen Stabs Victim Hours Before Double Murder
The 16-year-old, who can’t be named due to his age, pleaded guilty at Bristol Crown Court on Tuesday (16 April) to stabbing a 17-year-old in Bishopsworth on 27 January 2024.
The attack happened earlier that day during a street confrontation. The victim suffered serious injuries but survived.
Just hours later, the same teen, with a group, fatally stabbed Mason Rist, 15, and Max Dixon, 16, in a vicious case of mistaken identity in Knowle West.
Life Sentence Stands, Plus Extra Four Years
Already serving a life sentence for killing Max and Mason, the boy now faces an extra four years behind bars, to run concurrently, plus three years on licence.
The sentencing judge slammed the teen’s “deep disregard for human life,” highlighting the brutal gang violence tearing through Bristol communities.
Community Left Reeling
The murders shook Bristol to its core early this year, sparking vigils, school tributes, and urgent calls to tackle knife crime and youth violence.
Police described the killings as “horrific and senseless,” blaming a tragic mix-up between rival gangs for the deaths.
This new sentence paints a chilling picture of the teen’s violent rampage leading up to the double murder, underlining the ongoing crisis of youth violence in the area.
