Teen Stabbed in Shocking Knifepoint Robbery in Ryde
A 17-year-old boy suffered facial and chest injuries in a terrifying knifepoint robbery on Swanmore Road, Ryde, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Horrific Attack Leaves Teen Injured
Police were called just before 1am after reports of a robbery near Weeks Road. Officers found the teen with cuts near his eye and wounds to his side. He was rushed to St Mary’s Hospital for treatment.
Local witnesses described hearing “hysteric screaming” as the attack unfolded. The boy was with his girlfriend when two men approached their group of four and threatened them at knife point.
Two Masked Men Snatch Handbag and Bank Cards
The criminals demanded valuables and assaulted the teenager before fleeing with stolen items, including a handbag and bank cards. Police confirm the two suspects remain at large.
“We were called at 12.54am on Sunday 13 October to a report of a knifepoint robbery in Swanmore Road, Ryde,” said a Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson. “Two men threatened a group of four, assaulted a 17-year-old boy, then ran off with stolen items. The injured boy was treated for minor facial and chest injuries.” “Officers are investigating and will remain in the area today making enquiries.”
