Teen Driver Busted After Police Chase and Smash in Brighton
A 19-year-old has been arrested after a dramatic police chase in Brighton ended with a collision involving a police car.
Drama on Russell Place
The chaos unfolded at around 9:40 PM on Wednesday, 28 February. Sussex Police were tipped off about a suspected drunk driver causing trouble nearby. When officers tried to pull the vehicle over, the driver refused to stop, leading to a minor crash with a police vehicle.
The culprit? Eren Sezen, 19, from The Ridgeway, Croydon.
Multiple Charges Laid
Sezen was quickly arrested on several charges:
- Dangerous driving
- Failing to stop for police
- Refusing to provide a breath sample under suspicion of drink driving
- Driving without valid third-party insurance
- Driving without a proper licence
Court Date Set
Sussex Police confirmed Sezen has been charged and is due to face Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 3 March. The investigation continues.
