Third Teen Charged Over Dagenham Stabbing and Shooting
A 17-year-old boy has been charged in connection with the brutal stabbing and shooting on Whalebone Lane South, Dagenham. He is due to appear at Barkingside Youth Court on Monday, May 20, facing serious charges including attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Teen Nabbed in Birmingham After Police Manhunt
Metropolitan Police tracked down and arrested the teenager in Birmingham on Friday, May 17. Officers have been working tirelessly to apprehend all those involved in the shocking May 2 attack.
Two Other Teens Already Charged and Remanded
This latest arrest follows the earlier detention of two other 17-year-olds in Ashford, Kent on May 10. Both were charged with attempted murder and firearm possession after being questioned in London.
The pair appeared at Barkingside Youth Court on May 13 and have since been remanded in custody, awaiting their next hearing at the Old Bailey on June 10.
Victim Remains in Critical Condition
The victim, a 19-year-old man, was found with stab wounds and gunshot injuries. Emergency services rushed him to hospital where he remains in critical condition. Next of kin have been informed.
Ongoing Investigation and Public Appeal
Five other suspects, aged between 18 and 25, were arrested over attempted murder but have been released on bail as the Met’s Specialist Crime Command (Trident) continues their probe.
