A 16-year-old girl narrowly avoided a serious fate after she jumped from the iconic Five Arches Bridge into the River Cray on Thursday afternoon.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the teenager was swiftly taken to hospital. She is being treated for a broken leg but, thankfully, escaped any life-threatening injuries.
