Seven Teens Arrested After Knife Attack in Worthing
Armed cops swooped on a violent stabbing in Worthing on Sunday, March 13. The drama unfolded around 4.45pm in Chapel Road, near Liverpool Road. A 13-year-old boy was rushed to hospital with wounds to his torso but has now been discharged.
Youth Violence: The Fallout
After a thorough probe involving CCTV reviews, witness accounts, and drone searches, seven local boys have been arrested. All remain nameless by law to protect their right to a fair trial.
- Four boys aged 12 to 14 from Worthing face serious charges, including grievous bodily harm with intent. One 14-year-old also faces weapon possession charges for carrying a knife.
- Two boys from Littlehampton – a 14-year-old arrested for knife possession and a 15-year-old released without charge.
- Another 13-year-old from Littlehampton was also released without charge.
All charged youths have been granted bail under strict conditions and must appear at Brighton Youth Court on April 22.
Police Crackdown on Youth Violence Continues
“We continue to work with partner agencies and the local community to prevent and detect youth violence, and to take robust action against offenders,” said Chief Inspector Sarah Leadbeatter, District Commander for Adur and Worthing.
