Drug Bust at 6am Sting
Andrea Brown, 41, was caught fast asleep on a sofa during a dawn raid by Kent Police’s County Line and Gang Team on July 15, 2020. Officers swooped on a Surrey Road property and discovered 48 wraps of Class A drugs tucked beneath the pillows she was lying on.

- Police seized Brown’s phone and £170 in cash from her purse.
- Detectives traced the phone to a known county lines drug operation targeting Margate customers.
Five Years and Seven Months Behind Bars
Brown, from Nightingale Place, Greater London, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin, as well as possession of criminal property. On March 5, 2021, Canterbury Crown Court sentenced her to five years and seven months in prison.
“The misuse of drugs ruins lives and fuels crime,” said Detective Constable Jake Griffiths. “Criminals like Brown exploit new markets outside London, travelling to counties like Kent. We have a zero-tolerance policy and will keep working with neighbouring forces to smash these operations and bring offenders to justice.”
