Man Charged After Brutal Pubyard Brawl in Hythe
A serious assault rocked a Hythe pub garden late on May 27, leaving a man fighting for his life.
Violence Erupts on Seabrook Road
At around 11.20pm, an argument at a pub on Seabrook Road turned violent. The victim was punched in the face, suffering a serious head injury.
Emergency crews rushed him to hospital by air ambulance in a critical condition.
Fast Arrest and Court Appearance
Kent Police acted swiftly, arresting a suspect in Folkestone barely an hour after the attack.
Mathew Chapman, 33, of Kent Road, Folkestone, has been charged with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
He appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on May 30 and was bailed to face Canterbury Crown Court.
