Third Arrest Made in Enfield Teen Shooting Murder Probe
New Suspect in Keanu Harker Killing
Detectives investigating the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Keanu Harker in Enfield have made a third arrest. In the early hours of Thursday, 24 July, Met Police firearms officers and Specialist Crime Command executed warrants at two Enfield homes. A second 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. He is now in custody at a London police station but has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Previous Arrests and Charges
Two others are already in the frame for Keanu’s murder:
- A 17-year-old boy (name withheld for legal reasons) was arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday, 29 June and charged the following day.
- Eliezer Mbike, 25, of Oulton Road, Tottenham, was arrested and charged on Monday, 30 June with perverting the course of justice.
A trial is set to begin at The Old Bailey on 18 May 2026.
The Night of the Shooting
Police were called at 20:45 on Thursday, 26 June after reports of gunfire on Great Cambridge Road, Enfield. Officers and paramedics found Keanu with gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him at the scene and in hospital, the teenager died. Keanu’s family are receiving support from specialist officers as the investigation presses on.
