Chaos in Amesbury: Weapon-Waving Passenger Sparks Police Hunt

Police are hunting witnesses after a late-night scare in Amesbury.

Weapon Waved from Moving Car

Just before 2am on September 5, a local flagged down officers after spotting a vehicle driving erratically near Shears Drive. Eyewitnesses say a passenger in the back seat was brandishing a weapon out the window.

Three Men Arrested

Officers found the car and arrested three men aged 18, 20, and 30. They face charges of affray and suspicion of involvement in supplying Class B drugs. All three were interviewed and later released on bail while investigations continue.

Police Appeal for Information

“This was an isolated incident and there are no concerns for the wider community,” said PC Rich 1. “But we want to hear from anyone who saw what happened to help with our enquiries.”
