Triple Shooting Horror Outside NW10 Church

A brutal triple shooting outside a north-west London church has left a mother dead and two men wounded. The tragic attack happened on Saturday, 14 December at around 9:15pm on Gifford Road, NW10.

A gunman fired indiscriminately from the back seat of a black car at a group of people leaving a wake at the River of Life Elim Pentecostal Church. The shock has sent ripples through the usually quiet community.

Victim Named: Michelle Sadio Killed in Cold Blood

The victim who lost her life has been identified as 46-year-old Michelle Sadio, a devoted mum of two. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but she was pronounced dead at once. Two men in their 30s were also shot; one is in critical condition while the other has non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses Recall Chaos and Fear

Locals described scenes of “pandemonium” with gunshots shattering the night. One witness said:

“A car drove slowly past the church, did a loop, and came back. Then someone in the back seat opened fire into the crowd. Around eight shots were fired so quickly, it sounded automatic.”

The same witness believes Michelle was an innocent bystander caught in the deadly crossfire. Another resident shared their terror:

“My son thought it was fireworks at first. Then I heard my neighbour screaming and realised it was a shooting. It’s scary and sad — it doesn’t feel safe anymore.”

Police Hunt Gunman as Community Demands Answers

The Metropolitan Police launched a murder investigation and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with CCTV, dashcam, or mobile footage to come forward. A force spokesperson said:

“This was a heinous act of violence where an innocent woman lost her life. We are doing everything possible to find the gunman and those involved.”

Residents fear gang crime may be behind the attack, noting the slow, calculated movements of the car before the shooting.

“There’s lots of gang activity near Church Road. It feels like they were looking for someone,” a local said.

A police cordon remains in place on Gifford Road as forensic teams collect evidence. Tributes and flowers have been left in memory of Michelle, described by friends as a “brilliant woman.”
