Two Men Arrested After Crash Injures Three in Blackwood

A lunchtime smash on the B4251 in Blackwood left three people injured and two men in police custody.

Crash Details

At around 1pm, a Vauxhall Corsa carrying a 29-year-old man, a 33-year-old woman, and another passenger was driving down Yard Coal Rise when the crash happened. All three were rushed to hospital with injuries.

Police Make Quick Arrests

The Mini Cooper driver suffered minor injuries but was arrested at the scene. Officers also tracked down a red Vauxhall Astra involved in the incident. A 25-year-old man was arrested in connection with the crash.

Charges and Appeal

Both men face suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Gwent Police has appealed for witnesses to come forward with any information.
