Three brutal dealers have been convicted for forcing vulnerable teenagers as young as 14 to run drugs in Portsmouth. Dean Alford, Michael Karemera, and Glodi Wabelua dragged six youngsters – including three girls and two boys – from south London to restock local dealers in the city.
Slave Labour Teens Used to Push Heroin and Crack
The trio controlled county lines drug operations, sending out daily texts to addicts in Portsmouth. Their heroin and crack lines pulled in up to £2,000 a day. Between 200 and 300 addicts would call them every day, addicted and desperate.
Violence and Intimidation to Keep Teens Silenced
One 19-year-old who tried to ditch the drugs was savagely punished. Associates linked to Karemera stripped him naked and held a gun to his mouth – a shocking warning to others who thought to escape their grip.
Alford, Karemera, and Wabelua were found guilty of slavery offences at Inner London Crown Court, ending their reign of terror over vulnerable kids forced into hard drug running.
