Teen Stabbed to Death in South London Horror
Police rushed to Hicken Road, SW2, at 7.38pm on Monday, 4 April after reports of a stabbing. They found 16-year-old Rommel McKoy with fatal injuries. Despite being rushed to hospital, Rommel tragically died on 20 April 2022.
Murder Investigation Underway
The Met Police have launched a full murder probe. Rommel’s family are being supported by specialist officers as they come to terms with the loss.
Detective Chief Inspector Sal Minhas said: “A 16-year-old boy has lost his life. His family deserve answers. We’re committed to catching whoever is responsible.”

Two Teens Arrested and Released on Bail
- A 16-year-old was arrested on 15 April.
- A 17-year-old was arrested on 20 April.
Both suspects have been bailed until mid-May while the investigation continues.
Community Urged to Help Stop Violence
Detective Superintendent Neerav Patel said: “Despite progress in cutting violence across London, this senseless murder shows we have more work to do. Extra officers have been deployed locally to keep people safe.”
“Our thoughts are with Rommel’s family, especially his grieving mother. We’ll support her for as long as needed.”
